Grace Morris (Burnish Saddlery) is an independent fitter based out of Washington State. Grace enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with her sweet Border Collie, Maxwell, and when they are not on the road serving clients, they’re in the Work Shop, where she produces tailor-made tack and fitting education content.
Grace believes that the equipment we choose plays a vital role in the relationship between horse and rider- and she seeks to eliminate any creaks, squeaks and miscommunication!
Grace began her career working for a local saddler in Washington and entered the field as an Independent Bridle and Saddle Maker in 2017. In 2018, she started on the path towards Saddle Fitting, through the North American Saddlery School in Maryland, and has spent the last several years honing her skills in bespoke dressage saddle design and service. Grace is also familiar with Western saddle fitting and construction, citing industry resources such as Rod and Denise Nikkel and Al and Ann Stohlman, as well as many, many panels/skirts dropped on saddles of all shapes and sizes.
Her clients agree that Grace’s understanding of the relationship between saddle design and horse/rider anatomy, combined with a rare skillset in Bench Saddlery and Leatherwork are what set her apart in her industry.
